Chanel Le Vernis #665 Vibrato, #681 Fortissimo for Blue Notes Collection, Review, Swatch & Comparison

Weekend is over, boo! It didn't really feel weekend for me though. I was trying to organize a few things before my last day at work which is tomorrow. Maybe it is time to tell where I am going? I was planning to write a full post on that, which I will probably still do after checking out how it goes this week and next week. During the transition phase it is a bit busy and I want to take my time to reflect upon the things which pushed me away from corporate world. This is a make-up blog after all but I shared so much with you and I am hoping to go on with that.

Now to spill the beans, I got a professor position at a local applied university. Some of you might know that I was teaching as an additional job to my full-time one. I really loved what I was doing. I also felt like I couldn't select the direction my research would go in the company so this looked like a good step to take. As for the blog front, I might be a bit slow at times when I am teaching which will be my priority but I intend to keep on posting. I am hoping at least... I think we will see how it goes. I am definitely seeing myself cutting my ties to some of the brands which take more time and energy than the things they bring to the blog. I will go on with my favorite brands, ones which inspire me and appreciate the work I am putting in the blog. Keyword is to relax by blogging, not stress and believe me it is not easy sometimes.

More on that soon, back to make-up. Today I have two stunning blue nail polishes by Chanel. These are a part of Blue Notes Collection which makes my music loving heart skip a beat. The collection just arrived to our shores so I will be seeing the other products in person this week. As for now, in the name of reviewing all Chanel n/ps released, here is my review and comparisons of Chanel Le Vernis #665 Vibrato and #681 Fortissimo.

RMK Urban Gold Fall 2015 Collection, Review, Swatches & FOTD

It is already weekend, isn't that amazing? I came back from holiday for just 2 more working days but now I kind of regret that I didn't finish up everything and went to holiday to come back for a fresh start. If you ever change jobs, do it that way. I have the feeling that the last 2 days are eating up all the energy I need for the fresh start with the new one.

Back to make-up shall we? I am planning to write a wrap-up post for all the Fall items I have tested and reviewed since 2 months but all in all this Fall some brands I love, such as Dior, left me cold. RMK on the other hand surpassed my expectations by a good deal. Not that I didn't expect a good collection from RMK, because they usually have cute themes and nice products but the coordination of the shades and the textures of RMK Urban Gold Fall 2015 Collection really impressed me. Let me show you the pieces I have tested.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Evanescence Imperceptible Powders & Diaphanous Impalpable Finishing Powder, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Sometimes life takes over. I am going through such a busy time after my holidays. Today I cleaned my desk at work while transferring some of the jobs I have done last year on a teleconference. I ended up throwing away most of the papers I have collected over years. Today we vastly rely on digital data. I can't imagine how it would be to clean a desk in a company after working there for ten years in 1990s. It must have been almost like moving a house. I came home with just two small boxes. I hope your week is more relaxed than mine.

There is no doubt that Rouge Bunny Rouge stepped up the "powder" game. I have been testing the recently released compact powders the brand, Evanescence Imperceptible Powder, for a few weeks now. I took these with me to holidays and ended up wearing with minimal make-up for special evenings. I would like to share my thoughts on those as well as one of my all time favorite loose finishing powders, Diaphonous. I have been meaning to write about it for so long. Now I think I am ready after finishing one up and starting with a second one.

MAC Nose For Style and D For Danger, Two Red Lipsticks for Fall, Review, Swatch & FOTD

I hope you had a great start in the week. I am trying to get the best out of the very last day of holiday but it started getting really windy here. It is great on one hand because it doesn't feel too warm but since I got a bit of cold going on, for me it is not that ideal. Tomorrow we will be flying back, *insert tears*.

I would like to show you two red lippies for the upcoming season. MAC Lipstick D For Danger with matte finish is a part of the recently released Matte Lipstick Collection. MAC Nose For Style Mineralize Rich Lipstick is a part of Haute Dogs Collection which will also be released in September in all MAC Stores and online. They are very different in finish and in undertones and it turns out that I like the one I am not supposed to like the most...

BISC Sunday Read: The Inspiration Behind the Blog Names

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. On the "cold" side of the things, I am feeling better other than a slight head ache. This Sunday I will chill out a little, get some sun, go to the beach. I can't believe I will be back on Tuesday already. Boo! Although it was a long holiday, still I wished it would have been a few days longer. Holidays are never enough aren't they?

I haven't posted about Beauty Influencers Sunday Column (BISC) for ages. Because of tight schedule on my side, I was missing the dates. This week though, thanks to holidays I managed to answer it on time. I am also glad that it is a very interesting question this week, something I would never answer myself on the blog, unless asked. Have you been wondering?

"What is the inspiration behind the blog name?"

Laura Mercier Candle Glow Luminizing Palette for Fall 2015, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Yay for the weekend! I hope you are having a lovely one. My nose is still keeping me busy lol but other than that I went swimming today and intentionally breathed in some water, I felt like it was doing good. I guess we will wait and see.

Some brands went for the full metallic look for Fall, like Dior, some kept it simple and feminine like Guerlain. Laura Mercier on the other hand came up with two capsule collections to give the best of both worlds. Chrome Extravagance Collection is for the metallic and drama lovers. If you prefer softer looks, a new palette is about to be released soon, which is only about catching the light. I have been playing with Laura Mercier Candle Glow Luminizing Palette recently and here are my thoughts.

Bumble and Bumble Don't Blow It Hairstyler and Surf Infusion Spray, Review

I was determined to make the best out of the last days of my holiday before super busy time at new job starts but bad luck started rolling in one after another. First I got a back ache, which was almost going away the second day, but right after came some stomach problem and before it is over now I got a cold and a sore throat. Right now I am sitting here, sneezing and cleaning my nose while writing. Such a lovely way to spend the last days haha!

After getting sick yesterday, I got very bored. While sitting at home, I decided to give the blog a face lift. I appreciate it so very much if you tell me what you liked and didn't like. For example how do you find the new portrait? Do I look like the living dead with a lipstick (yes I think I do!)? Don't hesitate, just tell me!

I have been testing some hair products from Bumble and Bumble lately and two of them made it to my favorites this summer, Bumble and Bumble Don't Blow It Hairstyler and Surf Infusion Spray. My thoughts about them are after the jump.

Jo Malone London Blackberry & Bay Cologne, Review

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We just went to a family dinner to a lovely restaurant by the sea. Fish was great. We have eaten John Dory (Peter's fish), a very ugly looking but super yummy fish, recommended if you are fish lover. The way it was cooked, it tasted even better than my all time favorite Sea Bass. The best Sea bass I have eaten up to date was in Hong Kong. I need to go there again.

The blog front is rather busy with all the fall collection reviews but today I would like to show you my favorite summer scent at the moment instead. Jo Malone Colognes are great for hot and humid days, when less is more. I like them all year around but they truly shine in summer. I have been obsessed about Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay recently so I would like to share my thoughts with you today.

Clarins Palette 5 Couleurs #02 Pretty Night, Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base and Joli Rouge #731 Rose Berry for Fall 2015, Review, Swatch & FOTD

I hope you are having a wonderful week. There is less than a week left for my holiday, so I am trying to make the most out of it. At the same time I need to do a few things before going to work, such as organizing a farewell party at the last day at work, that will be 31st of August. I don't have many ideas about it though and I don't feel particularly motivated, because, you know, if it would all be so perfect there, why would I leave the company anyway. So I keep delaying the organization, oh well...

Back to beauty, today I have two pieces of Clarins Make-up Collection for Fall, called Pretty Day & NightClarins Palette 5 Couleurs #02 Pretty Night and Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base. Recently the brand also released a new version of their Joli Rouge Lipsticks. I opted for a color,  #731 Rose Berry, which would go good with the items from Fall Collection. Here are my thoughts about the products I have been testing.

Lancome Shine Lover #321 BC Beige, bareMinerals Pop of Passion Tangerine Pop, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Some of you may have noticed that I took the Friday and the Weekend off blogging. I was having a holiday within the holiday. We drove to a hotel to meet one of my best friends from high school. I was determined to cut the internet time. I left behind my notebook, which I regretted the minute we were in the car but decided to stick to the plan. It is an interesting feeling, the moment I stop blogging, I fear I might never be able to come back. But then again I can't wait to show the exciting posts I planned for you this week so I here is a tiny post as I work my way back to the blog.

Here are two light weight, swipe and go summer lippies I have been enjoying at the moment, Lancome Shine Lover #321 BC Beige and bareMinerals Pop of Passion Tangerine Pop. Hope you like them and the looks.

Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum Review & Photos

I hope you are all having a wonderful week and ready for the upcoming weekend. I will probably be very silent during the weekend since I spent today shopping instead of preparing posts. I am thinking to take a break this weekend and come back next week with lots of beautiful Fall items. I am also planning to do a Fall Products wrap up soon to sum up what worked and what was meh for me. Stay tuned for that.

Today though is about more flowers and a new perfume. Gucci recently released a new fragrance matching to their iconic Bamboo line. The line consist of bags with handles made of bamboo. Also I remember that they released watches which had bamboo theme as well. I was keeping an eye on fragrance release and read on different forums that the people were disappointed because it didn't smell like bamboo. If this was your expectation, get ready to readjust that. My thoughts on Gucci Bamboo Eau de Parfum is right after the jump.

Guerlain Écrin 4 Couleurs #19 Les Cendres, Rose Aux Joues, Kiss Kiss Rose Lip Morning Rose & Pink Me Up for Fall 2015, Swatch, Review & FOTD

I am about to go to a holiday within holiday so I figured out that I should show you the products from Guerlain Bloom of Rose Fall 2015 Collection before I do that. I have been playing with them in spite of the heat and worn them on several occasions. Holiday within holiday? I will be meeting one of my best friends who I know since high school on Friday and we will stay in a holiday from this Friday to Monday. I don't know if I will blog during this time. I might just choose to lay low and take a few days off or prepare one post for the weekend. I will see what I can do until then.

I hope you are having a wonderful week and that I can make it more colorful with this gorgeous collection. Guerlain revamps their blushes and releases six brand new shades called Rose Aux Joues. They also introduce Tinted Lip Balms which are called "Kiss Kiss Rose Lip". There is also a new Écrin 4 Couleurs in town. Let's check these out in detail...

Origins Sensory Therapy Piece of Mind, Zero Oil Instant Matte Finish, Review

I hope you are having a great week. It is almost hump day! I know it is easy to say that for me since I am on holiday and basically every day of the week is weekend. I have two more weeks and I am enjoying it to the fullest. Before starting off with the rest of the Fall Collection reviews, I would like to give heads up to those of you who are still fighting the heat. In Stuttgart this Summer was very hot and humid. There are countries around the world who always have it "hot" but in Germany most of the buildings, including offices don't have air condition so you can imagine how it smells is like when it is 40 °C. I found some ways to cope up with the heat and go on testing my make-up regardless. I would like to share two products I enjoyed most, before Fall comes. So here comes a mini review of Origins Sensory Therapy Piece of Mind and Zero Oil Instant Matte Finish.

Thierry Mugler Alien Eau Extraordinaire Eau de Toilette Review

Love the flowers on Mediterranean coast. Since I would like to share these with you, I brought lovely flacons with me to holidays in order to shoot in open air. This week and next week there will be four perfume reviews on the blog.

I would like to start with a gorgeous Alien who landed to our garden. It comes from a jewel land and has only one eye. This magical eye transforms your skin into a bouquet of flowers of sun such as Tiare and Heliotrop. If you find violet Aliens too prominent, Thierry Mugler Alien Eau Extraordinaire is now available in refillable Talismans

Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs & Chanel Joues Contraste #260 Alezane, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Since I am coming to the end of the photos I have taken prior to my holiday, today I went out to shoot for upcoming posts. I have to say that melting lipsticks and a big head ache after working under noon sun was really no fun. Although it is only 30° C here, under the sun an egg would cook in an instant. I am using this opportunity to test lots of sun care products. I will post about my experience soon. PR take note, for next year I need some mosquito repelling products to test as well. As I am writing these lines on the terrace, my feet are being attacked under the table, grrr.

Today is my last post on Chanel Fall 2015 in which I talk about two of the products I haven't reviewed in detail. I know that I will pick up the red Chanel Rouge Coco Shine (Téméraire) once the collection releases in October in Germany. Other than that I am mostly happy with what I picked up, that is minus the eye shadow palette which I would like to write about today, Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in Entrelacs. I also have some comparison swatches of Chanel Joues Contraste #260 Alezane right after the jump.

Dior Cheekstick #765 Rosewood, Rouge #753 Continental, Cosmopolite Illuminating Face Powder, Review, Swatch, Comparison & FOTD

I find it so interesting to find out how "busy" one can be during holidays although chores are nothing else than going to the beach, swimming, reading a book, relaxing, spending time with the family  and writing some e-mails. I am behind answering the comments and I am slowly coming to taking the photos for the upcoming Fall Collection posts, such as Guerlain, Laura Mercier, RMK, Clarins and some upcoming items from Rouge Bunny Rouge.

During the next days I will wrap up my Fall Collection reviews of Chanel and today it is my last Dior Fall Collection post, until I lay my hands on the missing three nail polishes, I think I am pretty much done. All three items I will present you today are my favorites of Dior Fall 2015 Cosmopolite Collection, these are Dior Cheekstick #765 Rosewood, Rouge Dior #753 Continental, Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite Illuminating Face Powder. I have previously swatched the products I have here and published an in depth review of two of the nail polishes here and Fluid Sticks here

Suqqu Cheek & Face Colour Palette Ex-01, Creamy Glow Lipstick #13 Akanebara for Fall 2015, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Hi from holidays *waves*.

I would like to start by thanking to everyone from the bottom of my heart. Especially to those who left comments on the last post. I am replying them slowly, taking my time. It might have seemed like I needed some attention but it was really a moment of frustration when I started writing all about it. Believe it or not after about half an hour I even considered to delete the rant part of the post because I found it so unprofessional of me but even after a few minutes there were such sweet and encouraging comments from all around the world, it truly made my day. Blogging is a hobby for me, I never thought to make money from this but if I am putting so much effort into something everyone finds terrible, well, it was time to reconsider. Especially with the job change, but this is a topic of another post.

Instead today I have something very pretty for you. I have been cheering for Suqqu Fall Collection, you can read my previous posts here and here. Today's post is supposed to be the last post at least until I return from holiday and get my hands on the khaki palette which I am missing at the moment (can't sleep! ;-)). I am also eyeing the plump lipstick. Today it is about Suqqu Cheek & Face Colour Palette Ex-01 and the super gorgeous clear bordeaux lipstick Creamy Glow Lipstick #13 Akanebara.

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre #106 Fleur de Pierre (Velvet), #116 Rouge-Gorge, Review, Swatch & FOTD

I hope you had a great start in the week. I just started my holiday so yes, I can say is that it is a great start indeed. Last post was a little confusing, I started writing it on Friday but at the time I finished it, it became Saturday, which was my birthday. Thanks so much for all of your nice wishes. It was a lovely night, restaurant and food were really good. As a nice surprise the moon rose from the back of Heidelberg Castle and it looked so lovely. I really would like you to see that so I am attaching a photo I have taken at the end of this post. I took it with iPhone and the lighting was a little tricky but I think you can get the idea.

Back to make-up, I would like to show you two Illusion D'Ombres from Chanel Les Automnales Collection for Fall 2015 and share my thoughts, right after the jump.

Chanel Le Vernis #669 Chataigne, #671 Ecorce Sanguine, #679 Vert Obscur for Fall 2015, Swatch, Review & Comparison

Happy Friday! I am super behind the comments but please bare with me.

I am almost on holiday. Today I submitted my documentation, so the only thing left to do is pack my things and leave after my return. I hope there will be not so many corrections. I am so ready for holiday and can't wait for my birthday dinner tomorrow. We made a reservation in Heidelberg. I usually prefer to go to Strasbourg to spend a day shopping and there are also very good restaurants but we have just been there some weeks ago so decided to make a little change. We have never been to that particular restaurant in Heidelberg, so it is exciting but also a little risky. Let's see if Travel Advisor does the trick. Love the city, have you ever been to Heidelberg?

I have been working my way through Chanel Fall Collection. Today I have the nail polishes for you. I swatched them at Instagram already. With this post I would like to write a full review and also share some comparisons.
