Last Minute Gift Idea: Jo Malone Christmas Cracker

I have been loosing myself in the Spring releases last week, more coming up on this front. The bitter truth is that we have still not finished with X-max shopping! There are three more gifts to be bought, counting on tomorrow to complete it. We will then drive to Strasbourg in the beginning of the week to visit the Christmas Markets there. Here in Stuttgart we have various markets with different themes, such as Baroque, Middle age... In Strasbourg the whole city becomes a Christmas Market! I can't wait to visit them.

If you are as late as I am with your gift shopping and couldn't make up your mind just yet, here is an idea which you might like for family member or a friend who likes to treat herself with pretties, which smell out of heaven...

...Jo Malone's Christmas Cracker

Jo Malone Christmas Cracker

Once you "crack" the packaging, here is what you get:

Jo Malone Body Creme in Nectarine Blossom & Honey, 15 ml / 0.5 Oz
Jo Malone Body & Hand Wash in Blackberry & Bay, 15 ml / 0,5 Oz
Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin, 9 ml, 0,3 Oz

If you always wanted to try out the layering of different scents of Jo Malone and try out their bath and body products, this is a great introduction to the line. Start with the Body & Hand Wash in Blackberry for the calming berry notes as you singing out loud in the shower. Once it is time to get out, reach out for Body Creme in Nectarine Blossom and Honey to add a dose of fruitiness and sweetness on top. To complete the Bermuda triangle, lightly spray the fresh, woody and slightly masculine Lime Basil & Mandarin in the mix. Voila, made in heaven!

Inside Jo Malone Christmas Cracker

The packaging is super cute and already wrapped, which is a plus if you are running late to the party. On a other note, I have to warn you you are not getting a discount on the products here. I have done some maths on the full sizes vs. minis. I have found out that in Jo Malone Christmas Cracker you are paying some $ for the packaging. It is a known fact that the smaller sizes always cost more per ml but still you have to know what you are getting. If you would rather pay for more product, then I advise you to go for a 30ml cologne from Jo Malone as a present, such as the newly released Wood Sage & Sea Salt (I am hooked onto that one at the moment).

Jo Malone Christmas Cracker

Also check out Sunny's review here. I have posted some photos of Jo Malone Christmas Cracker last week in Instagram and found out that these are sold out at some parts of the world, e.g. Ireland. In Germany there is enough stock though and they are still available online and in stores.

Are you done with all the gift shopping or are you lacking a few? How do you find minis for a gift, yay or nay?

The product in this post is provided free of charge for my consideration.
I am not paid for this review, all opinions are honest and my own.

    1. Hi Sunny,
I like it as well. But I think I would love to combine it with something more... feminine maybe, or a little sweet even. Usually I am all in for woody fragrances, don't like sweet ones a bit but this one calls for one. I will try it at summer time too.

    1. Hi Susan,
these always make a good present. I believe Christmas Cracker thing is more of a British thing? I am also seeing other brands do it there.

  5. Hey Sara, what a gorgeous Christmas gift! I am also obsessed with Wood Sage & Sea Salt...oh my god...I just make goofy noises, I can't even speak it smells so good. I did notice it fades away pretty fast though. How do the scents in this Christmas Cracker compare to Wood Sage and Sea Salt? Are they just as yummy?

    1. Lime Basil & Mandarin resembles Wood Sage & Sea Salt but it is a little more bitter and more fresh. It is also more masculine. I like them both but I prefer Wood Sage & Sea Salt, which is one of my all tie fav Jo Malone at the moment.
I have a review about Wood Sage & Sea Salt, if you would like to read, there I also write about the longevity issue. I have then realized two things to prolong it:
      1) use it over the body cream
      2) Spray more
The second one looks like it is straightforward, but I have purchased a full size for myself and I have experienced with that one I can spray more and it does last all day. With a tester I was being rather careful in the amount I was using and it was fading away even more quickly.
