RMK Irresistible Glow Lips Lipsticks 01 Cherry Red, 09 Pink Coral, 12 Mix Berry Rose, Ex-01 Noble Mauve, Review, Swatch & FOTD

... and I am back to home. After thinking about how badly I deviate from my usual weight during last year, I decided to do something. I had a 45 min Zumba session directly after coming home, which was maybe... not such a good idea after all. Exhaustion of three days mixed with some muscle soreness is not a fun way to start the weekend. Nevertheless I am happy to be able to start exercising again. It might effect the blog a little. After all "sitting down, editing photos and writing a review" is not all that sporty. I have to see how this one goes.

Meanwhile I hope you had a great start in the weekend. I have already talked about the new lipstick releases of RMK last week and reviewed one of the newly released two formulas, called Irresistible Bright Lips. Today I would like to share my thoughts about the other formula, Irresistible Glow Lips. As the name suggests, this one is more shiny and it is sheerer than the other. It is the new casual sheer lipstick line of RMK.

RMK Irresistible Glow Lips Lipsticks 01 Cherry Red, 09 Pink Coral, 12 Mix Berry Rose, Ex-01 Noble Mauve

I had the chance to try three of the twelve new permanent shades and one of the three limited shades. The names of the full collection are as follows:

Permanent
01 Cherry Red, 02 Baby Pink, 03 Pure Orange, 04 Apricot, 05 Deep Coral, 06 Red Brown Beige,
07 Sheer Beige, 08 Mode Beige, 09 Pink Coral, 10 Fresh Pink, 11 Innocent Pink, 12 Mix Berry Rose

Limited:
Ex-01 Noble Mauve, Ex-02 Shimmer Pink, Ex-03 Classic Red

These feel very hydrating and light weight on the lips. As with all sheer lipsticks, the staying powder is not their strongest point but the more pigment a particular shade has, the longer it stays. The finish of all the shades I have picked up are quiet close. They are shiny but not glittery. The formula reminds me of Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine, which I also like a lot.

To be able to try the range to its fullest, I went for a nude, a red, a coral and of course a plum.

09 Pink Coral is a light natural pinky nude. This one is especially great to combine with any eye-heavy looks.

01 Cherry Red is my new crash. This one if the color which was used on the model but probably was applied over a lip liner because in reality it is sheerer. I usually don't like wearing reds all that much but this one got me hooked. It is more coral than red and it has a lovely balance between red and pink. To me it is the perfect sheer coral for this summer.

12 Mix Berry Rose is another favorite of mine. It has a beautiful pink sheen over a deeper old rose/berry base. I believe it is the most flattering on me, love berries anyway (both to eat and to wear).

Ex-01 Noble Mauve is a shade I didn't know how to make use of. It is sheerer than the other shades and it has an interesting undertone, a type of beige but a cooler one. On my lips, it pulls cool so I like using it combined with cooler eye looks.

RMK Irresistible Glow Lips Lipstick 09 Pink Coral is a great casual everyday shade. Below I combined it with Sisley Dream Quad (reviewed here) for an everyday, office appropriate look. Pink Coral would look good in cool toned or warm toned makeup combinations, so it is a color to toss in your bag and take it out whenever you need it. Do you also have those shades which you can use with all kinds of makeup readily available in your bag? I have a few but that is because I am usually too lazy to get the shade I used that particular day. Also if I put more and more shades in my bag, and of course never take them out, the lipsticks start taking over the bag.

Another natural shade with more punch of color, a coral beauty for this summer, it is 01 Cherry Red. Pop a bit of coral or pink (used Tom Ford Frantic Pink here) on your cheeks with that and you are done. Do whatever you wish for the rest of the make-up *wink*. Below I am wearing MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Stolen Moment. You can also see the rest of the make-up products I used here.

Pink/berry eyes (Sisley Dream) and matchy matchy lips, 12 Mix Berry Rose is so lovely and the sheen is so complex. Big love. I will especially enjoy Mix Berry Rose once the weather gets a bit cooler. It looks like a perfect everyday lippie for the upcoming Fall season. Yeah, I already started seeing Fall 2015 products on the blogs! Soon we start.

Yesterday you have seen this look at Hourglass Bronzer post. Rest of the products used in this look are here. On me Ex-01 Noble Mauve is the most challenging shade to pull off. It looks a little lifeless on me but I liked it once combined with a really cool make-up such as this one here with blue eye shadow.

Final thoughts: I like RMK Irresistible Glow Lips even more than Bright Lips. They are perfect for summer, hydrating, shiny, sheer and casual. Just toss one in your bag, apply whenever you need to look your best. My favorite is Cherry Red, a lovely juicy coral which I am loving at the moment.

Do you like sheer lipsticks? Do you tend to use them more in Summer too?

  1. Ha I love it when they call something a red when it's a coral (which is what I prefer)! Needless to say, that's my favorite here :) I like sheerer lipsticks in summer, but by sheerer I mean stuff like Rouge Automatique, Addict Extreme, or the more pigmented Rouge Coco Shine. I want the glossiness without it slipping off my lips in an hour or two!

  3. I like sheerer for summer, but not too sheer. The sheerer shades don't last as long and tend to wash me out. Like Noble Mauve wouldn't look good on me. Even Pink Coral is too sheer for me but I like the other 2

  4. They all look very pretty on you most especially Cherry Red and Noble Mauve. I am not very familiar with this brand and I am not sure if we have it here in the U.S.

  5. I thought I'd like Pink Coral the most, but seeing your lip swatches I actually really love 'em all. Pretty! I also love the finish. Very wearable. You know I'm all about sheer when it comes to lippies.

  7. Thank you. I believe you can order from beauty bay or Selfridges, they must have delivery to US. I hope we all have more access to RMK soon.

  8. Hi Katherine, yes Noble Mauve is hard to pull off for me too. I have pigmented lips so anything which is too light washes me out too. Cherry Red and Mix Berry Rose are also my favs.

  11. Hahaha I know, you want to name everything coral right? Like pink would be cool coral, red would be warm coral ;-)))
