Chanel Les Sautoirs de Coco Collection My Picks, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Wish you all a great Sunday! It is crazy here how hectic it feels although I am hardly working. Yesterday I couldn't make it out of the flat! Although it might be because I was trying to watch the movies I missed from Oscar's. Yesterday we watched Room and we really liked it. What was especially nice was the ways they made the room appear very small or big depending on whose point of view it was. Oh and I couldn't get the kid was a boy! LOL, have you watched the movie? Who do you think will get the best picture?

Academy Awards fever aside, thanks to my dear friend Linda, this year I was fortunate enough to lay my hands on some Chanel Asia Exclusives. It is so unfair to see some of the countries such as the States and UK (only airport?) getting these collection while we have to hunt. The theme of the collection is the pearls so my picks were the products which were "pearly". I went for the star of the collection, the Illuminating Powder called Perles Et Fantaisies. I completed this with Illusion D'Ombre #112 Iridescent and Le Top Coat Clarté Brightening Top Coat. I have been enjoying these for a week now and I would like to share my thoughts with you today. The collection is still available on Chanel's online boutique in the States and in Asia across counters if something catches your eye.

Diana Vreeland Daringly Different Eau de Perfume, Review

Where did this week go? I am hoping yours was more productive or at least more fun than mine. I have the feeling that mine flew out of the window and was eaten by a hungry giant bird. It has been a bit fragrant lately on the blog due to the fact that I don't use make-up when I am sitting in front of the computer at home, alone! For a change I went to work yesterday and right now I am sitting in a train to Munich for an event so I started using some make-up again, let's hope that those reviews are coming very soon.

At the end of last year I had the chance to try the new perfume line of a fashion legend Diana Vreeland who is also happened to be known as the "Empress of Fashion". Decades after her death, her grandson Alexander Vreeland honored her legacy and brought her back in bottles. Diana Vreeland Fragrance Collection was launched in 2014. It has eight fragrances designed by renowned noses. In its deep violet bottle, Daringly Different called my name and touched my skin many times this winter. Here are my thoughts about it.

RMK Color Performance Spring 2016 Collection, Review, Swatch & FOTD

I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am at home this week and finding it so hard to get motivation to do anything, be it work or blog. I would like to tell how much I respect those who work at home and blog at the same time. It needs a solid planning and merciless execution. In my case I am also feeling a little tired from last semester so I would like to give me a few days off too but I know my time is running out to get ready for the next one, then the blog *cries* I end up doing nothing.

My current challenge is: I am at home, why would I do make-up? Haha! I mean there are so many bloggers who make-up for the blog, I know. But I only make-up because I go out and blog as a side-effect if you want to call that so here we need a chance.

Today's post is about RMK Color Performance Spring Summer 2016 Collection. I sincerely think RMK is one of the most under rated brands in Europe. Once you go to Japan, you see all the counters they have in almost all department stores all around the country and how these are selling like hotcakes. I wonder when the hype will reach here. For those of you who like a bit of make-up adventure, you can get the brand online at Selfridges, Beautybay and Lookfantastic, last two have free shipping too. I recommend you to try a few of their products, especially their blushes and glowing lipsticks (four of them reviewed here) are fab. Blushes have one of my all time favorite formula. Their base products (e.g. one review here) seriously rock too.

When I was traveling to Berlin last week, I only took RMK Spring Collection with me and took them out to play! Without further ado, let me show you these gorgeous trios, stunning face palette and some lippies.

Jo Malone London Orris & Sandalwood Cologne Intense, Review

Wish you all a wonderful weekend, best for the rest of it. As some of you might know, I was in Berlin to visit my friends. It was a lovely weekend for me despite of a long drive. I was hoping to see Tom Ford Spring 2016 in person, because we don't have a counter in Stuttgart but unfortunately they were not in stores just yet. I was very naughty though and ended up purchasing one more pair of Dior earrings for myself as a celebration of the end of the semester. We always find an excuse to be spendy right? Anyways, they are not Tribals, this time I went for a slightly different design. You will see more about it with the next FOTDs.

Other than that, I was a good blogger and prepared this post before we started driving on Thursday at the expense of us getting late, just to remember, on the road, that I forgot to take the perfume bottle with me. Now, I can't really write a proper perfume review without spraying myself from head to toe and sniffing myself while typing. You got the funny image? That is al right!

I have been loving the new addition to Jo Malone's Cologne Intense line. It is called Orris & Sandalwood and it is all kinds of woody and moody, exactly like how I love it. More? After the jump!

La Mer The Lifting Eye Serum Review

Happy hump day! The incidents don't stop, we will drive to Berlin tomorrow but as of today we are both sick, to the point that hubby couldn't go to work and we spent all day sleeping. I am hoping that tomorrow it will be better. I can't believe how many times I got sick this winter. Now that I am working at the university and being exposed to so many people at once, I am having a major virus update in my system. I hope that I will become the super human who doesn't get ill at all once it is finished (wishful thinking!).

Skincare for eyes? Sign me in! I have all kinds of problem with dryness under and around my eyes to the point that most of the concealers, even the super duper hydrating ones get flaky there, making me appear 20 years older. That is really not the intention of a concealer is it?

My other problem is that, although I read everywhere that I should be sleeping on my back and avoid hard pillows, I really can't follow these recommendations. I was never a back sleeper and I need my orthopedic memory pillows with neck curvature and all kinds of jazz. In my mid thirties, now I have not only fine lines around my eyes but also a major line under one of my eyes, which happens to be, coincidentally, on the side I usually sleep *sigh*. I see two options, embrace my lines, which, I do, alright... And the second... Use fancy skin care. Let's get into details here.

La Mer just released an addition to their Lifting products, La Mer The Lifting Eye Serum. I put it into test for some weeks now and here and my thoughts.

Tom Ford Eye Color Quad #21 Last Dance, Review, Swatch, Comparison & FOTD

Hope you are having a great week. I finished working this week and I will take a few days off to visit a friend in Berlin who just had a baby boy. So excited about the visit which we were planning for months now but what a pity that I just started having a sore throat. Fingers crossed that it gets better until Thursday.

Today I would like to share my thoughts about one of the new Tom Ford Eye Color Quads. These are recently released to replace some of the older ones. You can see the other palette I reviewed yesterday called Disco Dust here and links to all the other quads I have reviewed over the years here. The one I have today is a very unusual combination of green blue and brown. I love its name, Last Dance. What does it remind you? I kept singing this song while I was playing with it. The number is driving me crazy, #21, what happened to the quads from #15 to #19? Grrr... The collector in me is very upset but I think I can survive, if, this one performs better than Disco Dust did.  Did it? Right after the jump.

Tom Ford Eye Color Quad #20 Disco Dust, Review, Swatch, Comparison & FOTD

I hope you had a great weekend and a lovely Valentine's Day. We didn't do much yesterday since with all the stress going on during the last weeks, we were too late to reserve a table. We will probably celebrate by going out in the days to come. After the incidents, I had a very bad back ache due to stress so I couldn't blog as I wanted on the weekend but now that I am back, let me start with something exciting!

Tom Ford is releasing five new quads this Spring, and of course discontinuing some too. You know I am an avid collector of Tom's palettes. You can see my Blog Post Series wrap-up, a comprehensive guide to Tom Ford Quads here. I believe (but I have to check out once more) they are discontinuing Cognac Sable, Ice Queen, Sahara Haze and Lavender Lust. Instead they are launching Disco Dust, Lilac Dream, Last Dance, Starry Night and Honeymoon, the latter being wet & dry formula just like Nude Dip (reviewed here). I would like to share my thoughts on Disco Dust today but before I start, I would like to say one of collector's pet peeves, the numbers, drove me crazy by this launch. I have all the quads numbered from #1 to #14 and wet & dry formulas from #1 to #3. Now Disco Dust is #20 and there is only 4 quads with this formula which are coming out. This might make me very uneasy for the months to come. Dear Tom, please release whatever quad you are holding away from us, for the sanity of the collectors!

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lipstick, Swatches, Review & FOTD

How is your week going? It is almost Friyay! As I have previously written, we are still trying to solve the water problem. Tomorrow, if we are very lucky we will have a destroyed kitchen but water will be back. Then we have to try getting out kitchen back, that is if the water problem is solved. To get my mind off things, I am playing with make-up. It is too bad that we have to move out of the house so I can't be close to my stash *cries*.

Guerlain recently released a new make-up line after their best selling perfume La Petite Robe Noire with nail polishes and lipsticks. I have shared swatches and my thoughts on the nail polishes in this post. Today I would like to talk about the lipsticks. The full name is Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Deliciously Shiny Lip Colour and there is a reason for the word "delicious"...

Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation, Review, Swatch & Comparison

I am hoping, sincerely, that your week is better than mine. As I previously wrote, not only we don't have water and had to move to a hotel but the same neighbor who cut our water also sued us for some stupid reason. I am having a hard time to believing how come a normal looking guy can turn into such a monster. The psychological pressure comes from the fact that we have to live with these people who try to harm us in any way they can. I will stop here and go on with some make-up to change my mood, really, no one needs such people around (is there a button to terminate them?), Anyway as you can see I am having difficulty in blogging at the moment, so please bare with me for a week or two. Oh and our flat must be the only one with more perfume than water at the moment haha!

I have been trying a few new foundations recently. Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation is one of those for a natural glow and sheer coverage. For those who would like their skin to peek through, it offers a formula which is low on silicones, here are my thoughts about it...

Clarins Instant Glow Spring 2016, Review, Swatch & FOTD

I am wishing everyone that you are having a better weekend than we do (this wish doesn't go to our neighbors who turned our lives to hell). We are wandering between hotels and another flat we rented since there is no water at home. It is very hard to be able to go on with that. I was so happy to be able to blog more frequently during the next days but now this came up *sigh* If you don't hear from me in the next days, you know why. Please wish us luck that tomorrow things go smoothly and we start with an action plan.

To get my mind off things a little, I played with Clarins' Spring make-up items and I would like to share my thoughts with you on Clarins BB Skin Detox Fluid, Ombre Iridescent #07 Silver Plum eyeshadow and Rouge Eclat #25 Pink Blossom lipstick. This collection surprised me in a very good way so I hope I can bring my enthusiasm to the post although I am not feeling especially cheerful due to the situation at home. Here it goes, right after the jump...

Elie Saab Le Parfum Rose Couture Eau de Toilette, Review & Photos

I hope you had a great start into the weekend. Unfortunately we don't have water at home so we have to rent a flat for a week or two. Moreover to get to know one of our neighbours' real face was not really something we would ever like to experience. I hope the situation will be solved as soon as possible but the unpleasant taste will certainly not forgotten.

I get my mind off ugly things, I made pretty photos of the new version of Elie Saab's Le Parfum a few days ago but I couldn't find the time to write about it because I was travelling this week (yes, that too!). Here I am sniffing my wrist in delight and testifying how big of a fan i am of Francis Kurkdjian's work ( some my favourites include Dior Eau Noire, Burberry My Burberry and Narciso Rodriguez For Her). My thoughts about Elie Saab Le Parfum Rose Couture Eau de Toilette is right after the jump.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Nail Polishes, Review, Swatch & Comparison

Hope you had a great start in the week. I am about to be finished with exams, next week, can't wait for it. Our problem with the water is going on but I will be leaving home for a training from Wednesday to Friday so hubby has to deal with it. C'est la vie. This must be the first time I can't wait to take a nice shower in the hotel I will be staying haha.

Guerlain has exciting things coming our way this year. The first novelty in 2016 is a brand new nail polish and lipstick line matching to the theme of their best seller fragrance, La Petite Robe Noire. As I attended the launch event of these cuty pies, I am happy to be able to provide you with more information. I will start with the nail polishes and later this week post about the lipsticks. Here is a detailed review on six of the seven nail polishes released in Europe, Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Nail Colour #001 My First Nail Polish, #002 Pink Tie, #003 Red Heels, #007 Black Perfecto, #042 Fire Bow and #063 Pink Button, right after the jump...
