Diorific Vernis #227 Gris-Or, #991 Mystere and #001 State of Gold for Holiday 2015, Review, Swatch & Comparison

I hope you are having a wonderful week! Mine started so fast that I am already all in for the weekend. From the job done point of view though I am only two third there. It is also wonderfully sunny here in Stuttgart, lovely weather, only if I didn't have to work that much...

I have laid my hands to some Dior Holiday 2015 items. I have posted some swatches and a first look here. Today I would like to show you the nail polishes of the collection. There are four nail polishes in limited edition Diorific packaging which I find to be very cute and festive. The first time Dior came up with this, I was all over it. The second year (reviewed here) I remember being excited too, there was especially a very nice color in that collection, called Minuit, I still love it to bits. Then the third year (reviewed here) it was started to get a bit boring because the packaging was the same, which was alright but the shades were almost the same as well. This year is the fourth year with the Diorific limited edition packaging. I am collecting them all because I love them so much. You can see a group photo here at Instagram. Today I would like to share my thoughts about three of the four colors, Diorific Vernis #227 Gris-Or, #991 Mystere and #001 State of Gold. The fourth shade is a red called #951 Passion which I am hoping to get after the collection launches here.

Dior State of Gold Holiday 2015 Review, Swatches & FOTD

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Mine was nice, I say was because now I have to start working on the lectures for next week. I noticed it can get really very busy next week so decided to get a few posts done and also show you the items I received recently from Dior Holiday 2015 State of Gold Collection.

Dior goes for the same ornamental holiday packaging for the fourth time this year. The first year it was a real deal, everyone was wowed. Last year it was getting a bit old but now it seems Dior sees this packaging something like "Christmas Dish which you are allowed to eat once a year, only on Christmas Eve". It looks like we will have many more years with the same packaging. The pieces I laid my hands on are Eyeshadow Palette 5 Couleurs State of Gold #576 Eternal Gold, Diorshow Fusion Mono #631 Blazing, Diorific Matte in #590 Troublante and #770 Fantastique as well as three of the Diorific nail polishes. I used them very briefly so don't take this post as a very detailed review. Here are my thoughts and first impressions.

Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF 40 in #2 Sand, Review, Swatch & FOTD

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I went for a shopping spree yesterday and today on my mission to get appropriate clothes for the new job. One would think that in the university everyone is rather casual but it turns out they like presenting their best selves to the students. It is time to get used to the idea that I can't use the half of the clothes in my closet because of the weight gain in the last 3 year. I have to shake these off eventually but for the time being I need to buy a few things. And I need shoes but it was so hard to get one because my size is is between two sizes so one size is too big and the other one is not so comfortable. Shoe hunt has to go on! Oh then I had to wait for hubby to pick me up from shopping and ended up drinking two Mojitos while waiting. I told them to go easy on ice but who would know they would fill it up with Rum instead! I am tipsy, so bear with me.

Bobbi Brown's new Serum Foundation shook the blogosphere a bit and made me super curious. Right on time when I was considering to order it from another country, they released it here. I have been using it for a few weeks now, on and off and here are my thoughts.

Giorgio Armani Runway Fall/Winter 2015 Eye Tint, Palette, Swatches, Review & FOTD

It is hard to believe that this week is almost over. I hope you had a great one. I am working around the clock to get my lectures ready so I am not in the place to be glad that weekend is almost there. It started getting very busy all week, including weekends. Today I attended a farewell party of the project I used to work for. It was being held in a super cool "artists accomodation", with very interesting art all around the place. Needless to say it was unexpected and I loved it.

Giorgio Armani recently released their Runway Fall/Winter 2015 Collection which are supposed to be the pieces they used for the make-up in their runway show. I have googled a few images and it looks the lipstick which comes with the collection was worn by the models as well as some very cool eye shadows, just like the ones in the palette but I cant see anything similar to this warm copper eye tint shade. Used in the show or not, it was too gorgeous to pass so I couldn't resist. Although it was insanely expensive compared to their regular Eye Tints. Was it worth it? After the jump...

Burberry My Burberry Eau de Toilette, Review

I hope you are all having a great week. I thought I give a sign that I am alive *waves*. This week is going so fast, I didn't notice that hump day was over already. I cheated though because I didn't work properly on Monday (other than in the train) and visited two lovely bloggers in Dusseldorf, Anonymiss and Mel-et-fel. We had a great day and they managed to keep my shopping urge at bay. I managed not to go bankrupt at Tom Ford Counter, yay! After I was back, I started to come up with some sore throat which I am trying to get rid of since two days while working hard to get ready for the lectures. It is not fun so far. I am hoping that it goes away before the lectures start next week.

Today I have a new version of one of my most used perfumes of last winter/spring. I have previously declared my love for Burberry My Burberry here and ended up using one third of my 100 ml bottle. I have tens of bottles lying around but I kept reaching for it. Once the weather started to get warm, I went on using it but at some point I had the feeling that it was a bit too dense. Right on time Burberry released a new version in Eau de Toilette concentration. Here are my thoughts about it...

Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion 430 True Liar & Lip Volumizer, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great weekend! The weather here is not all that well but I had a good rest since two days and not I started feeling better. Today we have an appointment with the gym to see if we get membership. After struggling so long to find time for sports, now I am determined to make it. It looks like a bit stupid to start it right now, right before the start of the lectures next week but I am a believer of "all changes at once" to make it work. It is tough but doable. I will then see what works with the blog. On the worst case I blog a little bit about fitness too, what do you think? I was anyway giving it some thought to bring some fashion in here and there. Do you like blogs with broader scope or prefer make-up only ones?

Today I have a new liquid lipstick release from Estée Lauder who vamped up their entire line lately, in a good way and their lipsticks became "the thing" as soon as they were launched. I am super excited about the new matte colors they are about to offer too. I am not a gloss girl but I like pigmented liquid lipsticks which are not super glossy. Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potions seem to fit the bill, so here are my thoughts about it and the new Lip Volumizer.

Guerlain Parure Gold Fluid Foundation Review, Swatch & FOTD

It is Friday, big yay, *happy dance*. I wish you a wonderful start to the weekend! Today I was at home trying to get over the cra(m)ppy side of being a woman, sorry, too much information. Just know that if you have noticed me missing at social media or on the blog front, I had good excuses.

Today I have exciting news for you. If you are one of those people who were as disappointed as me to hear that one of your holy grail foundation formulations, Parure Gold, was discontinued, you will be delighted to know it is back! Guerlain revamped the formula and redesigned the packaging. After testing it over a month now, here comes my thoughts about the new version...

Chanel Ombre Essentielle #116 Swing, Illusion d'Ombre #98 Melody and Cils Scintillants Jazzy Blue, Review, Swatch & FOTD

What a day it was! I started at 7 am and I am still up and ticking at past 11 pm now. Oh and I arrived home just an hour ago. On another note, I caved and ordered By Terry Contrasting Duo in Fresh Contrast and used it today. I think I like it but I am not sure if the highlighter shade is doing much for me. I will write about it soon. I also used the blush duo with that and when I was looking at the mirror, I noticed something. It made my cheeks look very smooth, like as if someone applied a filter there on real time, is it magic? Testing goes on...

Talking about caving, I couldn't resist a few more products from Blue Rhythm de Chanel Collection.  If you remember previously I reviewed the nail polishes here. I was almost sure I could resist a blue single because I almost never wear blue and such a deep blue is rather destined to be forgotten in my stash. I was everyone was picking up Chanel Ombre Essentielle #116 Swing and Cils Scintillants Jazzy Blue. I was wondering why. The day I went to the counter to check out the collection, I understood why...

Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Stark Naked, Bittersweet, After Dark, Blackmail, Review, Swatch, Comparison & FOTD

Today I have a lipstick post for you! It has been some time since I haven't shown you lippies. You probably(!) noticed that I am more of an eye shadow reviewer than a lipstick wearer but when it comes to matte finishes, my heart skips a beat. It is strange though because glossy lipsticks makes lips look fuller and mine need a bit of support there. On the other hand brighter shades are easier to wear for me when they are matte because my complexion might look very washed out with very bright shades. Anyhow, without further ado, let me show you Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipsticks I have been enjoying.

Narciso Rodriguez L'Absolu For Her Eau de Parfum, Review

I hope you had a wonderful start in the week. Mine was really great but then I came home to see the reports about refugee crisis in Europe. It is so heart breaking. To inform those of you who are on the other side of the ocean, here it is one of the most important topics at the moment in Europe. I am hoping that there is soon going to be some sort of solution to offer to the people who suffered so much. I was thinking why doesn't the States offer help with this crisis and get some of the people?

After seeing the news, it feels like it is wrong to write a perfume review but this is what this blog is about after all. We all need pretty things in life to take a deep breath and freshen up our minds. This Fall Narcissi Rodriguez brings out a new perfume for his fans. Here are my thoughts about Narciso Rodriguez L'Absolu For Her Eau de Parfum.

Suqqu Blend Color Eyeshadow #21 Yoihagi & Gel Eyeliner Pencil 02 Dark Brown, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was busy but nice, today it was the "cleaning day" with out favorite helper who is a super cute lady which brings positivity and laughter to our flat. That said I had to do a lot of work too because even my suitcase was not fully unpacked and everything was everywhere right where I left them before the holidays. I had no time to go over the things because of the job change and today was the day! I am exhausted but happy, threw away lots of stuff and now it looks like home again!

One of the Fall Collection I was super excited about is Suqqu's. I am head over heels about the Blend Color Eyeshadow #20 in Kaoribara (reviewed here). Burgundy/Taupe/Gold combination was sure to work on me and it did beautifully. I didn't think though that I would love the Khaki Quad,  #21 Yoihagi this much... Today it is about this beauty. To give you a hint, it is especially for those who find khakis to be a bit too warm.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise Mona Lisa & Veruschka, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Wish you a wonderful weekend! Here the weather is sunny and beautiful for lots of positivity and a good start in the weekend. Me & hubby are both out of loop in terms of sport and now we are discussing which gym to assign to. As for the plans of today, we will go to the Outlet City Metzingen and get ourselves some gym outfit.

I have a very late review for you today. Charlotte Tilbury's Eyes to Mesmerise have been reviewed many times but I couldn't make my mind up to pull the trigger for an order. This is a brand I have lukewarm feelings about. I haven't had a complete fail product from her just yet but they also failed to impress me. I shared my feelings of her launching her line by becoming a Youtube Guru for 2-3 months then inserting all the commercial into her channel previously here. I don't think my view changed in any respect. In between though she is running from success to success by opening counters in the States and winning her fan's heart by meeting them in person. This is really a nice way to reach people. Anyway back to the product, Eyes to Mesmerise is a cream eye shadow, which has a similar consistency to Tom Ford's Cream Color for Eyes (e.g. here) and Max Factor's Excess Shimmer (reviewed here). My main goal in ordering and trying it out was to find out to which one it is closer to.

YSL La Laque Couture Matte Finish #201 Le Rouge Mat, #213 Le Orange Mat, #219 Le Fuchsia Mat & #270 Le Nu Mat, Review & Swatches

I am feeling so exhausted of all the new stuff, new job, new office, new colleagues, new environment, new rules... I read somewhere that a new job is one of the most stressful things in life and I can't agree more. It is unbelievable how much energy our body requires to get used to things which it is not used to doing/seeing. On top of that my annoyance for the blogging world grows bigger each day. All those samples which were "just a few" or "sorry we don't have any" are being delivered in double, triple numbers to some as some of us get nothing. I know life is not fair and all that jazz but I started feeling PR/Blogger relations started to be way too unfair for me to ignore. It started to bother me to the point that I am trying to avoid logging into Instagram not to see what the others received as I am constantly being told that there is no sample left for me. I feel lucky to be able to buy the stuff I like myself, no doubt about that but why would I put so much time and energy in something which is not appreciated by the companies? Samples go to those who don't even feel like posting about the items while I am taking hundreds of photos, spending hours in editing and putting in so much time & energy in a post. It is also not clear what they expect from a blog. Once I asked constructively how I can "improve" my blog so that I receive what the others are receiving, they told me "we can't give you this information". *sigh* Then I ask myself what am I doing here on a Friday night typing this post instead of meeting friends or watching a movie? I am afraid slowly this hobby of mine started to get more disappointing than fulfilling. Some changes have to be made.

To shake off some stress, I was at Breuninger yesterday and did a major haul on Chanel and YSL. In the beginning of the blog, YSL was one of the brands I enjoyed a lot, together with Armani. Now I hardly visit their counter anymore since when I see the brand logos, unintentionally I remember how much they appreciate (!) all my work. Anyhow, I love YSL nail polish formula and they haven't released anything for such a long time. The last nail polishes from YSL were very sheer, glossy top coats which I didn't see myself using so I ended up skipping them. This time around I saw that they released four new & limited matte nail polishes with their new lipsticks and decided to pick them up although I am not big on matte nail polish. Here are my thoughts and swatches of YSL La Laque Couture Matte Finish #201 Le Rouge Mat, #213 Le Orange Mat, #219 Le Fuchsia Mat & #270 Le Nu Mat

Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Melt, Mission Perfection Serum & UV-Plus Day Screen Multi Protection, Review

It is already Thursday tomorrow? Now way! Today it was such a "almost too social" day, I couldn't get to work. I kept on meeting some of the new colleagues, talking about this and that and the day was gone! Tomorrow I will put on my most unfriendly face to avoid that!

I have been testing some Clarins skincare products lately. Today I would like to show you three of which I have been loving.  I took these products with me on holidays and I am tested throughly. To the point that I thought I should write a review before I finished the product. Here are my thoughts on Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Melt, Mission Perfection Serum & UV-Plus Day Screen Multi Protection.

Nars Dual Intensity in Pasiphae & Velvet Stick in Oaxaca for Fall 2015, Review, Swatch & FOTD

How is your week going? Mine started pretty efficient and I find myself working well without any disturbance. I hope I can keep this state a little longer since the more material I get to prepare, the less stressful the semester will be. Hoping for the best. Changing job is so stressful, gosh, I keep forgetting this and each time remember again. I am hoping to stick to this one for a little longer ;-)

So what do I have today for you... I picked up two pieces from Nars Fall Collection even before my holidays but somehow couldn't come to try them out. The gorgeous duo-chrome Dual Intensity Eye Shadow in Pasiphae was a must for me. I needed to order oder 50 € to get free shipping so I was between ordering the other Dual Intensity Eyeshadow or try one of the new Velvet Sticks. I ended up getting Velvet Stick in Oaxaca just because of curiosity and it looks like, it was not the right decision after all...

MAC Vamplify How Chic Is This? & Speed Up, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Too bad that the weekend is over but I have something sugar sweet for you for this evening so that you don't have to think about Monday.

MAC recently released liquid lipsticks with a fun name, Vamplify! Each time I write this, I have a hard time with the auto correct which wants to change it to Amplify. That would be correct too since these are amplified versions of glosses in a way. There are seventeen shades available in Germany, I would like to show you two of them, called How Chic Is This? and Speed Up.

Sisley l'Orchidee Rose Highlighter Blush & Phyto Lip Twist #1 Nude, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Happy weekend!

Today let's go out, leave behind the dust of all the Fall Collections and take a deep fresh breath. I want to go back to summer. It is still beautiful in Mediterranean. Too bad that I had to move my holidays to August this year because of the job situation but the time I enjoy the region most is September. I will live through the photos I have taken for a few more weeks and sigh about the ones mom is posting on her Instagram, not fair!

Here comes two products to enjoy all year around on a summer setting; one of the more beautiful blushes ever made (does anyone object to that?), Sisley l'Orchidee Rose Highlighter Blush and a beautiful nude lipstick which quickly became one of my go-tos with any smoky eye, Phyto Lip Twist #1 Nude

Tom Ford AW15 Runway Face Color, Review, Swatch & FOTD

Yay to Friday! Right before the weekend starts, I am sitting here, drinking some wine, celebrating the weekend. While doing that I would like to share a super pretty birthday present I received from fabulous Dr. Ebru (aka chic science ,<3). Am I not a lucky girl? It was waiting for me right after I came back from holidays and I got so excited that I got my nail in the pot so please excuse me for the dent *grins*.

Tom Ford AW15 Runway Face Color is designed for cheeks, eyes and lips. Such a versatile and practical product. Grab it in the morning, smear, smear, blend a little and you are done! But... does this really work? Right after the jump.

By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Contouring #300 Peachy Sculpt Blush, Velvet Rouge #9 My Red & #10 Palace Garnet, Review, Swatch & FOTD, for Fall 2015

Starting a new job is always taking so much of the brain resources. New environment, new rules, so many new people whose names have to be remembered. I am behind answering the comments but I am hoping you can bare with me on that a few more days, given the fact that I still somehow manage to blog *winks*. I have gathered some pretties lately and I would feel bad if I don't show them to you.

By Terry has a solid permanent line up which I enjoy to bits. I collected quite a few pieces of her line during the last years. The damage usually happens when I travel to France, where By Terry counters are widely available. Ah there are so many products, all are to die for. Even better is that By Terry recently started releasing seasonal collections. Today I have three products from the Fall Collection Game of Light to share with you. These were kindly provided by Beautylish (not affiliated). They have the collection on sale at the moment.

Dior Vernis #558 Tribale, #552 Smile, #868 Wonderful, #892 Be Dior for Addict Collection, Review, Swatch & Comparison

I hope you are all having a beautiful week. Mine started great but today a few things happened, which made me take a deep breath. I still feel nothing can really spoil my new job new life kind of mood. On the job front it is going great so far so I won't let blog things spoil that. Rant or not rant or not... No not today! :-)

Dior recently released a whole bunch of Dior Addict Lippies. These look like the ones from Tie & Dye Collection of this summer but in one full color. They are sheer and have a shine to them, some of the shades are more pigmented than the others. I am eyeing one plum/purple shade from the line-up but didn't have time to go and try it on. On my very brief visit to the counter, I picked up the limited edition nail polishes, Dior Vernis #558 Tribale, #552 Smile, #868 Wonderful and #892 Be Dior, which I would like to show you today.

Atelier Cologne Jasmin Angelique Cologne Absolue Review & Photos

During my summer holidays, I love sitting on the terrace, watching many facets of Mediterranean Sea, angry at times as white bubbles come to the surface but sometimes as blue as it gets, mild and happy. Moments like this, an unexpected but pleasant breeze cools down the sweat on my forehead while carrying the irresistible scent of the jasmine bush close by. If the wind is stronger that day, the delicate white flowers are all blown away from the bush. But nothing to worry because they reappear in a few days again. Jasmine, delicately simple but surprisingly sensual.

Can Atelier Cologne's freshly released Cologne Absolue Jasmin Angelique can put this beautiful experience in a bottle? Here are my thoughts and photos which I took with the jasmine bush I just mentioned.
